Vastu for Office Productivity: Real Case Study of a Corporate Office in Mumbai
A few years back, I visited the corporate office of a leading Marine & Shipping Company of India, whose office is situated in Nariman Point of Mumbai. My observations & conclusion on that analysis are as follows:
1. Entrance in the West: Efforts Without Results
The entrance to the Office was situated in the West direction. According to Vastushastra, whenever there is an entrance in the West, the typical effect is high efforts, low results. In short, one has to put too much effort, and the results they get are very, very poor. Many times west entrance creates frustration among the people working in such premises.
2. Northeast Zone: Clarity Without Leadership
All the Managers had their sitting positions or cabins across the North to East region. According to Vastu, whenever all the Managers are sitting in the Northeast, they will be highly efficient, creative and innovative in their work but as a Manager along with productivity-efficiency leadership plays very important role but I very categorically or boldly mention to the management that all your managers are highly efficient but as far as leadership is concern they are very poor in their leadership. So, because of the Northeast, they have better clarity, but as they are missing the Southwest as a result of which stability & leadership were zero among them.
3. Brahma Region: Chaos in Implementation
The third important aspect, the entire support staff was sitting in the central Brahma region. My conclusion on this situation is that the entire staff is creating a chaotic situation in their performance. In other words, the management and the staff are very clear in their objectives and action plan, but when it comes to implementation, the performance is very poor, as a result, there is always a big gap between the objectives and the tasks achieved.
4. Northwest Zone: Unstable Leadership and Decision-Making
Fourth observation, the Managing Director of the company was sitting in the Northwest region of the entire office. From my reading or my conclusion from the Vastu shastra perspective is:
- The mindset of the Managing Director must always be wavering, and decision-making must be very-very poor.
b. He must always be in a dilemma because he is sitting in the Air element, which is responsible for wavering thoughts and decisions.
c. In this regard, he can plan his objectives and tasks, but his implementation of the task and objectives always goes to waste because of the Air element and because of wavering thought. So, he is not able to deliver the objective; his mind is always unstable and not satisfied with this achievement.
Vastu’s Role in Leadership and Productivity
So, the first topic which I mentioned about Leadership, Stability, Clarity of Thoughts, Communication, Decision Making and Implementation, and to a certain extent the effect of Vastushastra on Productivity & Efficiency can be described through this case study.
