Often, the question arises: why spend money on Vastu Shastra? What is the need for it? In this regard, I would like to share a personal experience with you.

Once, an exhibition and seminar on investment and economics were organized at the Taj Hotel in Mumbai.
Many senior officials from various banks, mutual funds, and share brokering companies, as well as representatives from the financial sector, were present at this seminar. I was present there as a Vastu Shastra expert.
I was going to present on the subject of Vastu Shastra. When it was announced that I would be presenting on Vastu Shastra, I had a pleasant experience. The media representatives present there surrounded me.

They asked me, “What is your role in this finance exhibition?” I had anticipated that question, and that’s precisely why I had participated in the seminar. Vastu Shastra is not an expense, but an investment.
I told them that if the stock market is booming, and you keep investing, and even if it appears at first glance that you are making a profit, will that profit truly end up in your hands in the end?
Southwest Direction and Financial Stability
If you consider this, I would say that if the southwest corner of your house is healthy, meaning that there are no Vastu defects in the south, southwest, and west directions according to Vastu Shastra, and the structure there is in accordance with Vastu principles, then the possibility of financial loss in your life is reduced.
In short, having a good southwest direction brings you financial stability.
If, by any chance, there is a toilet, a kitchen, too many doors and windows, a terrace, or cuts in your southwest direction, then that structure is incorrect. In such a case, you will certainly face financial losses. This leads to instability.
Impact of Vastu on Children’s Education and Exams
The second point I raised there was that if your son is appearing for the 10th, 12th standard, or a competitive exam, his parents worry more than the child himself.
At such a time, even if you enroll your child in four good classes, tuitions, or hire tutors, but if there is a defect in the northeast direction of your house, if there is a toilet or kitchen there, and if there is no living room or entrance in that area, then no matter how much you spend on that child, and no matter how well the child studies, there will be problems during the exams, and the expected results will not be achieved.

Nowadays, self-contained houses are being built. There, the land, its approach road, the direction it faces, the construction of the building’s entrance, according to architectural rules, government regulations regarding floor area ratio or FSI, and then building houses on that land, from the perspective of builders, Vastu is just a marketable commodity.
Creating and selling it from this perspective has become a common practice in society.
In such situations, due to architecture, government regulations, and the prevailing trend in house construction, and the greed for profit, we have somehow forgotten Vastu Shastra. This forgetfulness has lasted for almost eighty years now, because the self-contained housing system has become prevalent in India over the last eighty years.
Common Vastu Defects in Modern Homes
In such cases, we bring many Vastu defects into our homes.
To look at it at a very basic level, the two-panel door of our house has been replaced by a single-panel door. The wooden threshold of our house has disappeared. The door of another house faces our door, there’s a lift shaft, a staircase going up and down, and the toilet is inside the house.
In each of our homes, the fire element and the water element in the kitchen are located just a few feet apart, meaning two opposing elements are in close proximity. The proximity of mutually opposing elements creates a situation contrary to the natural order. A situation is created that obstructs the forces of nature. This is what happens.
Choosing the Right House as per Vastu Shastra
If you choose the new house you are going to buy according to Vastu Shastra, that house will be extremely beneficial for you.
For example, if you are going to buy a flat, there are usually four flats on one floor of a building. Firstly, whether it’s choosing the best flat or building a house, from the very purchase of the plot to creating the complete blueprint, and not just the blueprint but also the interior design – if all these things are done according to Vastu Shastra, then:

If a property is purchased or constructed according to Vastu Shastra, it provides permanent benefits. Among four houses on the same floor of a building, one is excellent according to Vastu Shastra, one is extremely bad, and two give moderate results.
Today, a house purchased with an investment of millions of rupees is only 40 to 45 percent beneficial, but if a little time and a very small amount of money are spent on Vastu Shastra, the same house becomes naturally more than 60 percent beneficial.
Vastu Remedies and Long-Term Results
And by implementing Vastu defect remedies to eliminate the remaining defects, the new house becomes completely free of Vastu defects and fully beneficial from the very first day.
